My landscape paintings are inspired by the beauty and atmosphere of Northumberland and beyond. Working in oils allows me to explore light, colour, and texture in a way that feels rich and timeless. Portraits in Pencil

My portrait work in pencil and coloured pencil focuses on capturing both likeness and character with sensitivity and care. Working in graphite allows me to explore subtle detail and expression, while coloured pencil—using Faber-Castell artist-grade pencils on high-quality toothed paper—brings warmth and vibrancy through rich pigments and the ability to build many layers. Whether monochrome or in colour, my portraits are intimate and timeless, offering a personal way to celebrate loved ones or mark special occasions. Each drawing is created with close attention to detail, aiming to reflect not just appearance, but personality and spirit.
